FORYD DESIGNS / Rowena Edwards is a welsh born designer and maker who started her creative education as a young girl in the countryside between the mountains and sea. Foryd is the name of a secluded bay close to her family home which has been the inspiring starting point to many of her designs. Her use of colour, materials and the concept of interaction produce a sense of depth and integrity. In particular, the relationship that she explores between her pieces and the consumer generates striking forms, and her innovative components reveal interesting ways of using and connecting with her furniture. Her designs speak the same language and invite you to interact, giving her pieces a welcoming and unique quality.
Rowena is currently living in London and working as a designer - maker for Lozi Designs on Hackney Road.
